How this guide began
Dominican Republic 365 is written and edited by Alex Borshch, who spent six months living in the Dominican Republic over the winter of 2013–14. That winter is the reason this site exists and not one about somewhere else. The wider story of the network sits on Isla365.
The site itself launched in 2026. It is not a decade-old publication and does not pretend to be. What it is: a guide to the whole country rather than the resort strip, built page by page, where every date, price and figure is traced to a source we are willing to name.
Six months somewhere does not make anyone an authority on all thirty-one provinces, so we do not claim that. Where the experience is first-hand, we say so. Where we are relying on official sources, operators or the Dominican press, we say that instead, and we date it, because prices and schedules here move.
