The tourist card is a simple entry fee that allows stays of up to 30 days. Since 2018, this fee has been automatically included in your airline ticket price, so you no longer need to purchase it separately at the airport.

All travelers must complete the Dominican Republic E-Ticket online before arrival. This digital form replaces the old paper customs and immigration forms.
If you wish to stay longer than 30 days, you have two options:
Visit the Dirección General de Migración in Santo Domingo to request an extension before your 30 days expire.
Pay the applicable overstay fee on departure if you did not extend in time. Fees change over time, so confirm the current amount with the Migration Department before relying on an estimate.
Visa-free access depends on nationality, passport type, and sometimes residence status in third countries. Do not rely on a generic country list alone when you are booking flights.
If you're unsure about your country, check with the nearest Dominican Republic embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date requirements.
Keep digital copies of your passport, E-Ticket QR code, and hotel reservations on your phone and in email.
You can bring up to $10,000 USD (or equivalent) without declaring. Anything over must be declared.
Adults can bring 1 liter of alcohol, 200 cigarettes, and gifts valued up to $500 USD duty-free.
Minors traveling without both parents may need a notarized authorization letter. Check with your airline.
