The overview

Festival Presidente 2026: What Is Confirmed

Dates: Friday 11 and Saturday 12 December 2026. Cervecería Nacional Dominicana, the brewer behind Presidente beer, announced them on 31 July 2026 alongside the first headliner.

Venue: the Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte in Santo Domingo, the sports complex built around the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez; most coverage of the 2026 edition now simply names the stadium. The festival uses a multi-stage (multiescenario) format across the grounds rather than a single stadium stage. Production is by SD Concerts, with Scotiabank and Visa as sponsors.

Lineup: the full bill landed on 14 August 2026, around twenty acts split across the two nights. Friday 11 December is topped by Juan Luis Guerra 4.40 and Calvin Harris, with Beéle, Danny Ocean, Milly Quezada, Chiquito Team Band, Fineta, La Más Doll, Leo RD and Arlene MC. Saturday 12 December belongs to Don Omar and Katy Perry, in her first Dominican Republic performance, alongside Omar Courtz, Aria Vega, Elena Rose, Dalvin La Melodía, Yiyo Sarante, DJ Karlo, Fineta, El Lápiz and Donaty. The grid below carries the full split. Arcángel and El Alfa performed at the launch event in December 2025 but are not on the festival bill.

Tickets: on sale since 14 August 2026, exclusively through tuboleta.com.do. The presale ran 14 to 19 August at RD$3,900 a day for gradas D1, C1, A1 and B1, RD$6,900 for the other gradas, RD$8,500 for the terreno and RD$10,500 for terreno VIP; the two-day combos cost RD$7,800, RD$13,800, RD$17,000 and RD$21,000. Scotiabank Visa cardholders went first on 14 August with 15 percent off, the rest of the Scotiabank portfolio followed on 15 and 16 August, and Visa cards from any bank got 10 percent off from 17 August. General sale opened on Thursday 20 August 2026 at 10:00 AM local time and is running now, at higher prices that the organizers have not published as a table, so the figures above are the presale rates. Diario Libre reported a virtual queue of some eight thousand people on the opening evening.

This is the first Festival Presidente since 2017, a nine-year gap.

What to Expect

Based on the announced 2026 format and how 2017 ran:

  • Simultaneous stages — the 2026 edition is billed as multi-stage, so you pick between acts rather than watching one bill straight through
  • Late nights — 2017 averaged around ten hours of music a day, with headliners going on well after dark
  • Beer culture — it is a brewery's festival; Presidente is everywhere, and 2017 also ran a beer garden with four craft brewers
  • Dominican fashion — the crowd dresses up, and dressing up is part of the night
  • Serious scale — the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez holds roughly 25,000 for sport and over 50,000 in concert configuration

Sort your data before you fly

Roaming charges in the Dominican Republic add up fast, and hunting for a local SIM in Santo Domingo is the last thing you want on arrival day. An eSIM installs on your phone in a few minutes at home and starts working the moment you land, so maps, ride apps and the group chat work from the airport curb.

Origins

Nine Editions Since 1997

Festival Presidente launched in 1997 and has been held nine times: 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2010, 2014 and 2017. It has never been an annual fixture. The brewer shelved the 2007 edition after new beer taxes, revived the festival in 2010, then let it lapse again after 2017.

The 2017 edition was the largest: three days at the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez in early November, more than 35 artists, over 30 hours of music and more than 100,000 people through the gates, roughly a fifth up on 2014. The bill ran from Enrique Iglesias, Marc Anthony, Justin Timberlake and Ricky Martin to Maluma, Ozuna, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Wisin, Carlos Vives, Juan Luis Guerra, Milly Quezada, Johnny Ventura and El Alfa.

Tips for Attendees

Planning for Festival Presidente 2026:

  • Buy through tuboleta.com.do — it is the only authorized channel for 2026, and the organizers warn that resold tickets may be cancelled
  • The presale discounts are gone — the Scotiabank and Visa presale ran 14 to 19 August at 10 to 15 percent off; general sale opened on 20 August 2026 and prices stepped up
  • Budget — presale ran RD$3,900 a day for the cheapest gradas up to RD$10,500 for terreno VIP, with two-day combos from RD$7,800 to RD$21,000; general-sale rates are higher and the organizers have not published them
  • Pick your night — the bill is split, so a single-day ticket means choosing between Juan Luis Guerra and Calvin Harris on the Friday or Don Omar and Katy Perry on the Saturday
  • Book beds early — mid-December is already peak season in the Dominican Republic, and 40,000-plus visitors will not help
  • Plan the ride home — ride-hailing surges hard around the Centro Olímpico after a stadium show
