Playa Alicia is a newer, more refined beach just east of Sosua Beach. Recently developed with a boardwalk, manicured sand, and upscale beach clubs, it offers a more relaxed and cleaner alternative to busy Sosua Beach while maintaining the same calm, clear water conditions.

Playa Alicia is less protected than the bay, so swimming conditions vary; avoid swimming when the surf is stronger. The water is clear and the bottom sandy. Good snorkeling along the western headland. Visibility 10-18 meters.
A 5-minute walk east from Sosua Beach along the boardwalk, or accessible directly from the Sosua main road. About 20 minutes from Puerto Plata airport by taxi (RD$2,000-3,000).
