Playa Los Patos
Where the world's shortest river meets the Caribbean Sea
Playa Los Patos claims the distinction of being at the mouth of the shortest river in the world -- the Rio Los Patos, which flows just 31 meters from its mountain source to the Caribbean Sea. This small beach features smooth pebbles, powerful surf, and a refreshing freshwater river pool.
The beach has a wild, dramatic character with waves crashing onto the rocky shore while the clear river provides a calm, cool swimming alternative just meters away.
